Newly Admitted Student Scholarships
New students are automatically considered for College of Media, College of ACES, and Ag Comm-specific scholarships offered through the University of Illinois. Scholarship award letters indicate whether the scholarship is one-time or has specific criteria for it to be re-issued. Please see the "other relevant scholarships" section below for additional scholarships that have been identified as holding potential for students interested in Ag Comm.
Agricultural Communications & ACES Scholarships
The Ag Comm Program offers scholarships each year to admitted and current students. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and carry awards of $500 - $1,000 each for the year awarded. Students are also eligible to receive ACES scholarships made available through the generous support of alumni and friends of the college. ACES awards approximately $1.1 million in merit-based awards each academic year.
These scholarships are administered by a committee composed of representatives from ACES, Media, and the Ag Comm Program. An application makes students eligible for any of several scholarships. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit as determined by the applicants' agricultural communications professional interests, activities, achievements (including scholastic) and potentials in the field.
Newly admitted students are automatically considered for these scholarships. Current or continuing students who wish to apply for one of these scholarships can do so by going to the College of ACES scholarship page.
College of Media Scholarships
Ag Comm students are also eligible to apply for Media scholarships. These scholarships are awarded based on merit and area of academic interest (advertising or journalism).
